Moms are great, aren’t they? Think of all the great things they do all year round: cooking, cleaning, working, and still available for hugs whenever needed. This year, give your photo-loving mom a fun gift that she’ll love to cherish. Here are some ideas:

Photo Box

These can be homemade, or you can order one from Pinhole Press. Personalize boxes can contain a card, some candles, bath products, and some of her favourite images. Don’t forget chocolates – all moms love chocolate! All you need to find is a nice box, you can even print out photos and seal them to the outside to create a truly memorably gift.

Photo Lampshade

What an amazing idea! An old lamp, a white lampshade and a few photos and voila – you now have a perfect piece of art that mom will want to proudly display in a living room, office, or bedroom. You can find a helpful tutorial over at Ashley Ann Photography.

Heart Canvas

This is a remarkably easy craft that merely requires a bunch of photos and a place to paste them – you can use your imagination from there. Creating a heart out of mom’s favourite images will make for a fantastic piece of art that she can hang proudly. Need help? Cool Mom Picks has a great tutorial to walk you through the steps.

Photo Vase

A piece of PVC pipe and a tall photo are the starting point for a fantastic gift. All you need is to secure the image to the pipe and you have a nice vase. For an extra touch, create a few vases of different sizes, and also some flowers to put in them! Check out this tutorial for detailed instructions.

Last Minute Gifts

In case you’ve left everything until the last minute, head over to the Walgreen’s website.  Here you can order calendars, photo mugs, albums, mousepads, and more. Most orders can be picked up the same day, so you don’t end up in the doghouse.

Still haven’t found the perfect gift? How about a photo session gift certificate? Or for the true photography aficionado you can get her a gift certificate for a session with Jane herself, where she’ll learn all there is to know about taking amazing photos of your kids!
